The Full Circle Approach

The full circle approach is a four step philosophy of care. Our philosophy of care begins with an accurate diagnosis of the source of pain/symptoms. Once we have established a cause<>effect relationship we begin with professional manual alignment in conjunction with teaching patients self mobilization and alignment techniques to become proficient in reducing or resolving pain/symptoms as needed throughout there day. Being able to maintain proper alignment of affected areas will promote healing of the joint structures. With this approach we see consistent resolution of pain. Follow the link to find out more about our Full Circle Approach.

Manual Orthopedic Therapy featuring
“The Leveling Technique”

Like the physical therapy clinic, the exercise room is always clean and the equipment always operational. The exercise room offers the top of the line in equipment from LifeFitness, while also providing an assortment of cardio machines, with no overcrowding. At ABC we offer patients a low-cost fitness membership after they have discharged from therapy services, while also providing knowledgeable staff in the exercise room to create an effective bridge to after-rehab programs! Sacroiliac joint dysfunction (SIJ), Back Pain and Injuries

We have discovered that low back pain is synonymous with sacroiliac joint dysfunction. This is certainly not a mainstream practice or belief. Including the sacroiliac joint with low back treatment has been the consistent piece of the puzzle not considered with any low back pain diagnosis. Discs, SIJ is simply not diagnosis and not treated. The problem with ignoring the most important joint complex of the back is that traditional therapeutic exercises for back pain is that they aggravate the SIJ complex.

There is always a reason for pain. You have to be able to find it, that is you need to establish a cause<>effect relationship. The leveling technique is ideal and superior to accomplish this differential diagnosis.

Once the SIJ dysfunction has been identified, then it will change the way you approach resolution of back pain. We treat backs as joints, we treat the source of back pain. Return to top

Migraines, Headaches and Neck Pain

The Leveling Technique was originally developed to treat SIJ and low back pain, but has also been extremely successful in attaining complete resolution of migraines and headaches. Relief is usually achieved within the first visit, with additional visits for self management education to prevent reoccurrences. Return to top

Worker’s Compensation Injuries and Work Conditioning

Alternative Back Care treats those who have suffered from on-the-job injuries. We will work directly with your primary care provider and case managers to get you back to work as safely and quickly as possible. After an evaluation with a therapist we will design a plan of care and set goals, in relation to the specific job demands. We provide assistance and ongoing communication in working with your attorney and insurance company to expedite your care for your least out-of-pocket expense. Our staff is knowledgeable about these special cases; we can assist with the necessary paperwork and help coordinate your care.

Back pain is the #1 cause of lost work time. Any injury can diminish a patient’s quality of life and pain does affect patients physically and emotionally. We work with the patient to coordinate their care to avoid unnecessary lapses or delays in treatment. This will allow us to work towards a safe and timely return to work.

Work conditioning is a rehabilitation approach designed to accelerate a patient's return to work. Programs are customized to optimally prepare an injured worker for the specific physical demands of a particular job. Most workers are treated one to two hours per day, three to five times a week, for two to four weeks.Return to top

Personal Injury: Motor Vehicle Accidents or Personal Injury Protection

Alternative Back Care Physical Therapy also treats MVA and PIP claims.

With proper identification of symptoms we can help minimize costs of other expensive treatments or diagnostic tools. In our clinic the common finding is that with those who cannot attain resolution have not been properly diagnosed. We work with you and your MVA or PIP to provide quality and efficient service.
